Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using smbcrawl ("the Service"), operated by Jarobe ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

Description of Service

smbcrawl is an API service that enriches business data from publicly available sources. The Service collects, processes, and returns structured data about small and medium-sized businesses based on your queries. Data is sourced from public directories, websites, and other publicly accessible information.

Account Registration

Account registration and authentication are managed through Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your API keys with unauthorized parties. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

API Usage & Rate Limits

Your use of the smbcrawl API is subject to the rate limits and credit allocations associated with your plan tier. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access to the API if we determine that your usage constitutes abuse, places undue burden on our infrastructure, or violates these terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the smbcrawl API itself for the purpose of building a competing service
  • Use data obtained through the Service to harass, spam, or harm businesses or individuals
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, security features, or access controls
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Share, resell, or redistribute API keys or access credentials

Payment Terms

smbcrawl offers two payment methods:

  • Stripe -- Subscription-based plans with monthly credit allocations. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
  • x402 -- Pay-per-call using USDC on Base mainnet. No account required. Payment is settled before job processing.

Credits are non-refundable. However, if an enrichment job fails due to a service error, the credits consumed by that job will be refunded to your account automatically.

Data & Intellectual Property

The business data returned by the smbcrawl API is sourced from publicly available information. We do not claim ownership of public business data. The smbcrawl API, platform, documentation, and all related software are the intellectual property of Jarobe. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform without written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY ENRICHMENT RESULTS OR DATA RETURNED BY THE API.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JAROBE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these terms, abusive behavior, or any reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused credits are forfeited upon account termination.

Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the State of Ohio.
